Our Areas Of Practice
We are highly experienced in a wide range of legal services. Please navigate this page using the menu on your left to learn about our areas of practices, what they mean, and how we can help you.

Personal Injury

  • Automobile Accidents

Car accidents happen everyday unfortunately; they are a fact of life. Our law office is here to help assess your rights and responsibilities in the event of an accident. We also assist victims of car accidents to receive compensation for damages, both economic and non-economic. Most cases will be settled out of court between the lawyer and the insurance company. Fred L. Howe will negotiate with the insurance company on your behalf to receive a fair settlement and will represent you if the case ends up going in front of a judge and/or jury.
  • Motorcycle Accidents

For those who own a motorcycle or have ever even ridden one you know that not everybody out there is looking out for you. While the ride can be quite thrilling at times, it can also become quite scary in the event of an accident. As with a car accident case, we are here to help assess your rights and responsibilities in the event of an accident, assist victims of accidents to receive compensation for damages, negotiate fair settlements for victims and represent you if the case goes in front of a judge and/or jury.
  • Wrongful Death

The loss of a loved one can be a very difficult time, especially if that loss is caused by the wrongful acts of another. While we understand no amount of money could compensate the loss of a loved one, Fred L. Howe will assist you in being compensated for the loss of income, support and companionship your loved one provided for you and your family.
  • Insurance Coverage

Insurance companies can be confusing and difficult to communicate with. In disputes over coverage for auto, home, business and life insurance it is imperative to have representation that understands the insurance industry and will work hard to secure you a settlement that is fair.
  • Premises Liability

Premises Liability law holds the person responsible for the premises, property or land accountable for injuries sustained while on the property. Although the most common injury is a slip and fall injuries may also occur as a result of unsecured measures or equipment malfunction. Factors that need to be considered include the reason for being on the property as well as whether you were a guest, visitor, customer or trespasser. Whether you are a business owner, home owner or the injured party it is important to seek legal representation if an injury occurs.

Family Law

  • Divorce

The Law Offices of Fred L. Howe handle all aspects of separation, divorce or annulment. We have the knowledge and the experience to help people end marriages and work out important details such as property division, spousal support, alimony, domestic violence, orders of protection, child custody, visitation, child support and insurance/pension plans. The level of representation you need to complete your divorce depends on the nature of the parties and circumstances involved. Full representation is required when one party is unaware of the divorce, assets will be disputed or there are more complicated issues at hand. However, if both parties are in agreement and the divorce/separation needs to be handled solely through legal documentation, you do not need full representation. We handle all Family Law legal documents including divorce, amendments, child support and child custody.
  • Child Support

Arizona, like most states, has guidelines for determining the amount of child support that should be provided for a child. Those guidelines are determined by a percentage of annual income in relation to the number of children. The level of representation or support you will need to determine the amount of child support paid will depend on the nature of the parties involved. Full representation is required when the parties involved cannot agree upon the amount of child support to be paid. In the case the courts will use state guidelines to determine the amount. However, it is not uncommon for both parties to agree over child support. It is still important to file the proper documentation. We handle all Family Law legal documents including divorce, amendments, child support and child custody.
  • Child Custody

When parents divorce child custody may become an issue. Each parent may want custody of the child/children but the final decision will be made based on the best interests of the child/children. If both parents agree on custody matters it may be solved without going to court or mediation. However, full representation is recommended during custody battles. Full representation is especially important if there is a dispute regarding child custody or visitation. In this case the court will once again use state guidelines to determine custody based on the best interests of the child. However, it is not uncommon for both parties to agree over child custody and visitation. It is still important to file the proper documentation. We handle all Family Law legal documents including divorce, amendments, child support and child custody.
  • Grandparent Rights

Grandparents play an important role in the lives and upbringing of their grandchildren. When the parents separate or pass away it is important that you exercise your Arizona Grandparents Right of Visitation. We can help you secure this visitation in order to remain a stable part of the lives of your grandchildren.
  • Paternity Disputes

Paternity disputes usually, but not always, involve unmarried couples that are unaware of their rights or obligations under the law. For example, when a child is born to unmarried parents and the father is not named on the birth certificate the father does not have rights to the child. However, custody and visitation can be established via paternity action. Other paternity disputes may involve a father denying his relationship to the child. No matter what the situation Fred L. Howe is prepared to defend your rights as a parent.
  • Severance of Parent-Child Relationship

In some instances a person may not have the necessary skills required to be a parent. Although rare, this is a problem that needs to resolved as quickly as possible. We have handled numerous severance cases involving both parents and grand parents and will assist you in safely and permanently securing the severance that supports the best interests of the minor child in your life.
  • Q.D.R.O.

In times of divorce there are a multitude of matters that need to be resolved, one of these matters is retirement accounts. A Qualified Domestic Relations Order, or Q.D.R.O, details how these retirement accounts will be dispersed in the event of a divorce in order to ensure fair compensation and separation for all parties involved.

Wills and Trusts

  • Wills

The thought of your own passing is never a pleasant one, however, in the event of your passing you will undoubtedly have things that need to be taken care of. We will help you setup a legal "Last Will and Testament" in order to ensure your final wishes are carried out exactly the way you want them to be.
  • Trusts

In order to ensure that your property and other assets are paid out and handled correctly we also offer Trust services. We will handle the entire process including setting up the Trust Terms, listing Beneficiaries and Trustees, and filing the Trust Agreement. Trusts are necessary to ensure your property and other assets are divided up according to your wishes.
  • Conservatorships

In the event that a large monetary settlement is reached on behalf of a child a Conservatorship is necessary in order to protect the child's best wishes. We will assist you in setting this up in order to ensure financial stability for the child well into future.

Document Preparation

  • In the current economy we recognize that while our costs are low sometimes retaining an attorney can still be a financial burden you are not prepared for. If this is the case we do offer document preparation services in order to keep your cost down but still achieve the primary goal. These also work very well in the event of legal situations in which both parties agree on a mutual outcome and would simply like assistance in filing the appropriate court ordered documents. Popular document preparation services include, but are not limited to divorce with/without children, child support and/or child custody. Most other Document Preparation services are performed by a paralegal who is not permitted to provide you with any legal advice. With the Document Preparation services provided by the Law Office of Fred L. Howe you will be able to receive accurate advice from a real attorney and still avoid the cost of a retainer.

Mediation Services

  • Mediation is an excellent alternative to going to court with regards to many Family Law disputes and is much more cost effective than retaining separate attorneys and going through the long drawn out court process. This service is perfect for parties who would like to settle a few issues prior to going to court or who only have a few minor disputes and would like to avoid court proceedings all together. The mediation services provided by the Law Office of Fred L. Howe will provide a fair and concise judgment by a licensed attorney in the State of Arizona with a multitude of experience in the realm of Family Law.
